STEIN is Pentel's latest pencil lead technology. It stands for "Strongest Technology by Enhanced SiO2 Integrated Network." The reinforced silica inside forms a honeycomb-shaped structure, achieving the highest level of strength.
The lead is also smear-resistant. It is excellent at attaching graphite to the paper surface, making it highly resistant to abrasion stains. It is ideal for left-handed users.

Gor this 0.9mm lead for my Pentel Twist Erase and loved it. It required minimal pressure and provided a dark, even line while writing.
Very strong considering how thin it is at .3mm and the darkness is great 👍
